The YMCA of South Florida's Youth Development Department is hiring energetic, outgoing people to work in our Afterschool programs throughout the county. After-School Counselors are responsible for the daily supervision of a group of up to 25 children. They plan and implement activities for the children involved in the YMCA Afterschool program. Candidates must enjoy working with children ages 4-12 and be able to work in multiple settings such as school cafeterias and playgrounds.
Areas in need of staff are the following: Allapattah, Aventura, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Hialeah, Homestead, Kendall, Liberty City, Little Havanna, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miami Shores, North Miami, Pinecrest, South Miami, and West Kendall.
Positions open to applicants with the following qualifications:
1. Must be able to work Monday - Friday 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
2. Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
3. 45 Hour certificates or enrollment within 90 days of employment.
