Signature Consultants is seeking a Release Coordinator for an opportunity to work with a client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Our client is looking for an ideal candidate who will be accountable for the vision, prioritization, planning and management for the platforms and applications assigned to her/him. The ideal candidate will also be accountable for the compliance and adherence to all IT established polices/procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Communicate between the business and IT teams
Define and maintain the application backlog according to agreed stakeholder priorities
Ensure that applicable IT policies/procedures and guidelines are followed within the release process
Collaborate with technical teams to assess new work orders coming into the backlog
Work with stakeholders to define submitted requests for upcoming release
Prepare weekly status reports and documentation related to each active release
Conduct task/resource management and allocation throughout the release process in Clarizen
Validate submitted time sheets to ensure resource adherence to assigned tasks
Schedule and facilitate meetings with all stakeholders to review status of all active releases
Work with Product Owners/SMEs and Business Analyst(s) to gather requirements
Gather business signoff for approved requirements
Work with technical teams through analysis and implementation phases to ensure that any roadblocks are properly addressed
Report and evaluate issues and risks (scope, timelines, resources) and escalate to IT management as needed
Participate in any UAT related meetings as requested by the QA team
Facilitate deployment planning meetings
Collect all necessary documentation and create necessary request for change for environment deployments
Participate in the release Production deployments (which mostly occur overnight)
Hold a 'lessons learned' session at the end of each release, capture any improvement areas and create/execute an improvement plan if needed
Validate adherence to applicable governance and compliance regulations and policies
Provide feedback on team resources and the release process itself
Requirements:
4-year Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or a related field
2 to 4 years of experience as a Release Coordinator or Project Manager in in a software company or internal IT
2 to 4 years of project management principles experience
Business Requirements / User Story elicitation
Application Management Lifecycle
Traditional & Agile PM Methodologies
Project and Task Management, Scheduling, Tracking, & Reporting
Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, ServiceNow and Clarizen (or other project/workforce management experience)
Experience managing Enterprise projects desired but not required
Travel & Hospitality Experience desired but not required
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to identify issues quickly and facilitate discussion for resolution
Ability to identify risks and develop proper mitigation plans
Ability to prepare formal management presentations
Ability to organize and conduct effective meetings
Ability to provide assistance and guidance to team members
