RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior IT Manager in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FL). The Senior Manager of IT is charged with overseeing and ensuring the quality of IT service for all schools within the State. The Senior Manager provides guidance and recommendations to the State team and school leaders and direction to local IT staff.

Responsibilities:
A Senior IT Manager will work with state team and assess, implement, and respond to customer technology related needs
Provide management with critical decision-making information through research of emerging technologies, analysis of data, monitoring of trends, and recommendations
The Senior IT Manager will ensure high quality, timely, and practical support for all supported hardware, software, and systems for all stakeholders
Coordinate successful deployment of IT projects, including hardware, software, services, and policy implementations
A Senior IT Manager will provide day-to-day supervision of IT staff, including direction, establishing goals, performance reviews, and delegation of tasks
Coordinate with appropriate school staff to facilitate technical support operations from student tech teams and provide professional development for students
The Senior IT Manager will aid in developing and managing IT-related budgets for state and schools
Ensure documentation of all IT procedures, processes and policies, strategies to maintain and revise documentation are being followed

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Management Information Systems, Business, Personnel Administration, or a related field preferred
5+ years of experience and or training in Information Technology
Proficiency in common business software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
Understanding networking, hardware, software, and services requirements to support remote locations
Travel within and outside the state as the job dictates, commitment to company values
Demonstrates ability to lead people and get results through others
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Ability to consistently be at work, to arrive on time, to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance
Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating, and process improvement; Available to staff; and develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth

  • The Enterprise IT Support Services Manager is a technical management position responsible for daily and strategic planning, operation, administration, monitoring and maintenance of IT systems, networks, and enterprise applications. Manages IT Command Center functions including: staff and develop Help Desk, NOC, and Site Support team members; develop, administer, and maintain IT change, incident, and problem management systems, applications, tools, procedures, and knowledgebase; analyze, trend, and communicate IT service level performance metrics pertaining to system availability, trouble tickets, and service request activities; implement continuous process improvement to assure quality IT support services; maintain software, hardware and resources inventory. Supervise IT Command Center and Site Support teams to ensure timely and effective responses to user and business needs. Conduct performance evaluations; make hiring and disciplinary decisions and salary recommendations. Meet regularly with support staff to discuss deliverables, timelines, and documentation. Oversee Helpdesk, Desktop, Application, and Infrastructure support problems and resolutions to determine trouble trends. Monitor, alert, and report on IT system, service, and application performance metrics. Manage trouble ticket and service request escalations to ensure timely resolution and/or fulfillment. Communicate incident and root cause notifications to internal business units. Provide management reports on IT system availability. Develop and establish site support deployment and provisioning standards and procedures. Work closely with department contacts on issues to improve customer relations and technical support. Provide training on new hardware and/or software applications. Communicate with coworkers, management, staff, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions. Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Company. Responsible for participating in quality assurance, compliance and in-service and continuing education activities as requested by Company. Requirements 5 years experience in a Help Desk/ Desktop environment and a minimum of 3 years at the Manager or Supervisor level. Experience managing a team of 10+ distributed people.
