Job Qualifications:
5+ years experience in a medical office or comparable setting [Internal Medicine experience and Registered / Certified is a plus]
Exceptional teamwork, communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of computer systems including EMR [experience with Athena Health is plus]
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with patients, physicians, and coworkers in a tactful, informed and serviceĀoriented manner
Duties and Responsibilities:
Venipuncture
Taking vital signs
Answers the telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel, or initiates a triage case for response by clinical personnel
Schedules appointments, verifies and updates patient demographics, and insurance information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Maintains complete patient records [scanning & proper labeling of documents into EMR system]
Performs other duties as assigned
