We are looking for one part-time pooper scooper to run an established pooper scooper route. Work days are Tuesday through Friday, and an occasional Monday. We go into customers yards, scoop up the poop, bag it, and haul it away. We do have a few commercial properties as well that are more walking than residential yards.
You must have a positive attitude, be reliable and trustworthy, and be able to work responsibly and reliably by yourself once you are trained. There is a GPS monitoring device installed in the trucks.
You will drive a company owned vehicle. You must have valid Florida drivers license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to East Boca Raton where the routes begin.
We are based in East Boca Raton, but we service all of southern to central Palm Beach County. A good knowledge of navigating a route, and understanding efficiency and accuracy would be very helpful.
Starting pay is $9.00 hour during training and riding with us. The pay once you are trained and on your own is $12.00 an hour, with the opportunity to make up to $16.00 per hour as you increase your efficiency. Days needed are currently Tuesdays through Fridays, and can be typically 7 - 8 hours each day. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. until youre finished for that day. There will be an occasional Monday needed when one of the owners needs the day off. You will be given advanced notice for this.
The best person for the route is one who like driving, working alone, being with dogs inside their own yard (territory in the dogs mind), and working in the rain, sun, cold, and extreme South Florida heat and humidity. Dogs are typically inside but sometimes they are in the yard when we clean. Most dogs are friendly and are happy to see us. A person with a calm demeanor and the ability to keep their wits about them if confronted with an unhappy dog will be great for this job. We will teach you how to deal with an unruly dog without getting yourself hurt, and without harming the dog in anyway.

navigate traffic and locate addresses using the apps on your phone
physically work in all types of yard terrain
work in rain as well as extreme S Florida summer heat, cold; all types of South Florida weather (except during lightning or hurricanes)
lift 50 pounds
secure gates when entering and leaving yards
do the job efficiently and accurately
drive a midsize or full-size pick-up truck
