JOB OVERVIEW:This is a dual role position in our Pompano Beach office for a great designer who also has previous print and digital experience. The Graphic Designer will create visual concepts and advertisements and assist in laying out the weekly newspaper. They will also manage our digital assets such as social media and web.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare preliminary designs through final products, including but not limited to advertisements for various types of companies and sizes, graphics and layouts.
Manage from concept to production graphics projects for customer print and web advertising.
Be able to execute in both Digital and Print Media
Work with Lead Designer to determine the scope and direction of the project.
Manage several projects at the same time while prioritizing competing demands on time.
Deliver innovative, quality designs that are consistent with the brands.
Maintain our presence on social media
Maintain our web site and content daily (currently on Wordpress)
Attend various meetings as requested with minimal advance notice.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:ÂTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Minimum of 3 years of design experience in both print and digital media
Must be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Experienced in the use and management of WordPress or an equivalent CMS system.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to interpret general ideas and high-level descriptions, overlay with customer advertising goals, and generate creative concepts for review.
Experience creating email marketing campaigns and using email marketing platforms like Constant Contact or MailChimp.
Social Media experience preferred: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other applications.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics
Willingness to work a flexible Full-Time schedule that may occasionally include weekends and holidays.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and telephone etiquette.
Must possess technical ability and willingness to learn new programs and systems.
Must provide a portfolio or online work examples
