Assure high levels of service department proficiency & quality of work by assisting the service manager with quality control, efficiency of technicians, and by performing major service work in a timely manner.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Major Vehicle Service
Perform prompt, dependable, high quality MAJOR vehicle service work for (internal& external) customers
Perform major vehicle service work (ie ;engine overhauls, customer fabrications, wreck repairs, etc.)and other work which lesser skilled technicians do not perform efficiently
Create detailed estimates for complicated repair orders such as insurance claims, wreck repairs, & customizations
2 .Quality Control
Assist the service manager with quality control
Minimize come backs by inspecting all outgoing work for completeness, thoroughness, safety & quality
Perform service work (or be highly involved with repairs) on all come backs to ensure All problem areas are corrected. Ensure the vehicle is fixed right and all customer expectations are met.
3 Service Department Proficiency
Assist service manager with continual improvement of overall service department proficiency
Review all technicians work-in-progress to ensure quality & timeliness
Occasionally assist technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work
Ensure technicians maintain and improve their productivity and efficiency by assigning tasks within their realm of competency during busy times and coaching them to improve both knowledge and speed during down times
Notify service writer/manager of additional work needed or any delays if expected
You must be a Master Technician in The Harleys-Davidson Recognition program, have a valid drivers license with a motorcycle endorsement, be able to pass a security background check and pass a drug test.
