In this CAD Tech position, you work with our clients and internal team to produce accurate AutoCAD construction plans for our clients’ homes. The majority of your work will involve drafting residential Floor Plans, performing Roof Calculations and Projection of Elevations, drawing Electrical Plans and Site Plans, and processing client changes. Also, on any given workday, you may perform any or all of these important tasks:
You generate layout drawings from given sketches and specifications.
You modify, correct and update existing plans so that they meet new and current standards and contain appropriate residential codes.
You maintain and organize our CAD drawing files.
You utilize various communication channels to obtain new client information that helps you develop and update drawings.
You manage multiple projects and your own time efficiently and you provide fast and superior customer service.
Relevant Qualities and Skills
You are certified as an AutoCAD Technician.
You have at least 2 years of experience working with AutoCAD drafting software and preferably have experience drafting residential plans.
You're a strong problem solver, you have an entrepreneurial spirit, and you’re a solid communicator.
