We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Dispatcher for our Non-Emergency Transportation (NEMT) company. Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Coordination: Efficiently schedule and dispatch drivers to pick up and drop off patients, ensuring all trips are completed within designated timeframes.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and clients, providing clear and concise instructions while maintaining professionalism.
Emergency Handling: Remain calm and prioritize tasks effectively during emergencies or high-stress situations.
Scheduling: Manage and adjust daily schedules to optimize route efficiency and accommodate any changes or urgent requests.
Customer Service: Handle inquiries, complaints, and special requests from clients with empathy and professionalism.
Record Keeping: Accurately document trip details, changes, and incidents using dispatch software.
Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare facilities and clients to ensure all transportation needs are met.
Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
Qualifications:
Education: Preferably a bachelor's degree or higher, but not required.
Skills:
Strong communication, both verbal and written.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient typing skills and ability to navigate dispatch software.
High level of empathy and excellent decision-making abilities.
Experience:
Previous experience in dispatching, particularly in a non-emergency transportation or healthcare setting, is preferred.
Healthcare experience is a plus.
