My name is Beach. I am a 25-year-old young man on a ventilator. I need an experienced Home Health Aide (HHA) to help take care of me from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. It's a full-time, year-round job. You will be assisting either a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed-Practical Nurse (LPN).
We work as a team of 4 nurses and 4 aides. My staff works a 3 day / 4 day rotating schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next). You must be able to work every other weekend, and also be flexible and willing to pitch in when the inevitable rescheduling with other team members becomes necessary.
The following are some additional requirements:
Must have an active HHA and/or CNA license.
Please bring your resume and all your paperwork (ID, social, references, etc.).
Must be able to speak fluent English.
Have no people at home who are depending upon your care. (i.e. children, grandparents, etc.).
No smoking
No allergies
Must be at least 5'5".
No lifting restrictions. I weigh about 100 pounds. You will need to be able to assist me from a sit-to-stand position.
Must be able to drive a full-sized van.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work.
Must be experienced with taking care of patients with a gastric tube.
Finally, this is a full time job. Due to the flexible work schedule and need to fill-in sometimes unexpectedly, it won't work if you have another job.
