Resident Assistant/Caregiver Live In
I lived with my Grandma and Grandpa for many years and I enjoyed taking care of them both. I enjoyed getting to know her even better after my grandpa passed. I enjoyed taking care of her on her good days and even her not so good days. I would enjoy taking her for out for dinner, grocery shopping, church. and of course to get her hair done. I am originally from the Midwest and got smart a few years ago and headed for warmer weather.
My ideal situation would be a live in caregiver or resident assistant for a married couple (would consider a male or female client as well) who does not want to give up their independence just yet and wants to stay in their home as long as they possibly can.
As caregiver or RA (resident assistant) as I like to call it I will provide hands-on assistance with the daily care needs of the residents including personal needs, grooming and hygiene, medicine schedules, housekeeping, laundering, grocery shopping, social interactions, walks, and meals. Additionally, the RA is responsible for routinely monitoring the residents comfort and responding to periodic needs.
I am single, dependable, honest, trustworthy and prefer a quiet environment much like my grandma did. She loved watching Lawrence Welk show with me and I didnt care for it much when I was younger, but now I find him quite relaxing. I have no family in the area so distractions are not really here for me like others. My experience and situation is unique. I am very personable and I love to be with people. I have health care training and have worked in hospitals for nearly twelve years.
