A Wal-Staf client in Gainesville, FL wants to hire a Construction Accountant in Gainesville FL. This position reports to the Director of Accounting at a large corporate business. Excellent pay with opportunity for advancement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and track projects including contract and budget information
Maintain cost accounting system
Communicate and work with construction managers, vendors, and subcontractors
Assist with preparation of construction draws
Provide reporting and budgeting data as required by Senior Management
Ensure timely collection of W-9âs, master service agreements and insurance certification for
subcontractors and vendors that do business with the construction department
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelorâs degree in accounting preferred. Minimum of 2 years of accounting coursework
required
Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, including specific experience in construction
accounting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines, by managing multiple priorities
and utilizing strong organizational and time management skills
Experience with Job Cost Accounting Software, preferably with MRI Construction
