The Electrical Designer will have the opportunity to:
Provide design and drafting support for Electrical Engineers
Convert system design concepts into specific layouts by utilizing information outlined from senior team members
Assist in the preparation of electrical designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, electrical construction documents, the development of design solutions, and details for all phases of a project
Work closely with team members to complete design and construction documents
Perform construction administration duties including submittal and shop drawing review
Work location: Gainesville, FL office. Future work location flexible (North Central Florida).
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Engineering or commensurate years of experience. BSEE from an ABET accredited school desirable
Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and BIM concepts
Experience in lighting design, calculations, SKM power tools, and other electrical systems/software
Ability to interpret design criteria and convert it into specific layouts
Experience in the use/application of building codes and published design standards
Familiarity with various electrical equipment manufacturer's product lines
Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Availability to travel and possession of a valid driver's license
