The incumbent represents the Geriatric Medicine Division to internal and external collaborators, including but not limited to: nursing homes, donors/program sponsors, department units, division faculty/staff/students, and outside speakers. Working in concert with the Division Chief and Vice Chair for Admin and Finance/Director of Clinical Operations.Provide administrative coordination and support to the Geriatric Division and clinical operations:o Coordinates process for faculty completion of forms for processing travel, purchasing and leave.o Submit requests for payments for division and faculty development expenses, including travel requests.o Process Faculty/Staff Leave requests and keep Division Leave Calendar updated with approved requests.o Process payroll functions for the division (report leave to Shands for mid-level practitioners)o Renewal of annual ARNP protocols, and clinical competency documentationo Provider schedules and assignmentsProductivity and Compliance: Compile productivity reports; presents monthly productivity reports to the clinicians and department leaders; takes all the necessary steps in maximizing RVU productivity and collections, and improving billing compliance. Address compliance concerns for missing charges, missing notes, and other overdue conditions within the clinical SNF and inpatient areas; Coordinate monthly division meetings and record minutes of meetingsOutreach/Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Liaison: Serve as division liaison for each skilled nursing facility and report any issues or concerns to the Division Chief and corresponding Medical Director. Monitor the accuracy of the accounts receivable and accounts payable from nursing homes and other contracts. Submit requests for authorization and payment of charges, reconciliations and submit requests for payments. Works with faculty/staff on credentialing at each SNF and adhere to the facility specific requirements.Budgets/Financial: Monitor annual divisional budget and ensure adherence to the final approved budgets (including tracking annual faculty allowance expenses). Closely monitor and anticipate areas of concern to communicate this information to the Vice Chair, Division Chief and Department Chair. Submit fiscal commitment forms and clinical productivity proformas for new clinical providers. Work closely with department HR liaison to approve and post positions, advertising, and recruitment (coordinate interviews, travel, accommodations and reimbursements, luncheons, dinners, research presentations and the distribution of itineraries to all concerned parties. Submit expense requests for same.Works with Division leadership on marketing coordination and promotion at Health Fairs and community outreach events (may include travel)Participates in aiding faculty with compiling annual faculty evaluations and promotion/tenure packagesEnsure that faculty and staff complete required annual training; Blood Borne Pathogen, Billing and Compliance training, and that all faculty members have current Florida Medical and DEA licenses.Other duties as assigned.Expected Salary:$43,000 - $53,000Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred. Experience with clinical productivity and optimization, productivity reporting and personnel management are highly preferred.
