As the Communications Assistant you will report to the CAM communications coordinator. This position requires you to be responsible, dependable, able to work independently, and able to be self-directed.The ideal candidate for this position will be able to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines, to take direction and seek help when needed, and to handle multiple projects at once. This dynamicposition is ideal for a creative, self-motivated student with strong understanding of social media, as wellas an interest in marketing, communication, and the intersection of health and the arts.Duties include but not limited to: Assist in the development and execution of Center for Arts In Medicine (CAM) communicationsand marketing efforts Assist with content development and management of all CAM social media platformso Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter Assist in the development and dissemination of communications materialso Channels: CAM Website, social media platforms, press releases, newsletters, etc.Expected Salary:$12-$14/hour (commensurate to experience)Minimum Requirements: University of Florida Student Able to work 10 - 20 hours per week Able to work through April 2021 Strong writing and oral communication skills Detail Oriented Proficiency with social media platforms Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Demonstrate professional and quality work ethic at all times Maintain scheduled (office) hours Willingness to embrace learning opportunities, share knowledge, and innovate in the position Fulfill scheduled tasks/projects in a timely manner by meeting deadlinesPreferred Qualifications: Previous communications and marketing experience Working knowledge of adobe creative suite Working knowledge of MAC computersSpecial Instructions to Applicants:In order to be considered, you must upload your cover letter and resume.Application must be submitted by 11:55 p.m. (ET) of the posting end date.This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
