One million seats made by the company are now in service worldwide.OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:The Programs Quality Manager is committed to driving improvements in products and processes. The individual will be responsible for overall management of all quality-related topics with airframes, including responses to customer feedback, developing quality strategies and ensuring compliance to applicable OEM requirements.The individual acts as a leader within the company to promote process based problem solving and daily management and to promote continues improvements in all aspects of the company. This individual will provide guidance and direction to all PQE (Programs Quality Engineers), PQL (Programs Quality Leaders) and OSS Quality Focals. This individual will work closely with all IPT members and provide guidance and training on a regular basis throughout the program development and delivery phase.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists the Executives with strategic plans, policies and procedures at all levels so quality improvement efforts will meet or exceed internal and external customers’ needs and expectations.

Manages communication and business strategy with OEMs on all quality-related topics. Ensures on time and effective problem resolution implementation to applicable quality concerns and acts as customer advocate representing the voice of the customer.

Develops a highly effective customer quality team. Assigns programs, projects and tasks based on company needs and commitment deadlines. Ensures resources are trained, available and workload is properly leveled. Directs and standardizes activities for PQEs, PQLs and Field Quality representatives.

Direct and coordinates activities for projects to ensure they progress on schedule and within budget.

Conducts data analysis and benchmark analysis to identify improvement opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, quality, delivery and productivity levels.

Provides advise, facilitation and training on the development, administration and technical aspects of the organization’s quality improvement efforts at all levels and across all IPT departments.

Provides quality or business improvement efforts, such as developing and administrating the program, training and coaching employees, and change throughout the organization.

Oversees the creation, development and implementation of detailed Subject Matter Experts training for new and existing IPT members. Conduct training for core IPTs (Program Management, Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality personnel) as needed.

Responsible for the facilitation and participation in process improvement initiatives as needed; including corporate directives.

Instructs or trains all departments on quality-related topics, tools and techniques.

Formulators or helps formulate quality assurance policies and procedures.

Manage the Quality side of the WBS including assigning PQLs to the program and mentoring to ensure full quality support for all programs.

Interface with all engineering functions within an organization and with customers and suppliers onquality-related topics.Establishes adequate quality metrics to properly monitor trends and drive for continues improvements.

Serve as a member of the Quality Assurance Management team.

Responsible for the facilitation and participation in functional leadership meetings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge and Skills:

Will have a fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics. Customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems and professional ethics.

Will be able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analysis, reporting and problem solving.

Will have a thorough understanding of problems-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.

Will be able to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.

Candidate must have the ability to effectively interact professionally with all levels of employees, customers and vendors.

Work independently with high level of confidentiality, professional standards and ethics.

Must possess grammar and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, handle confidential and sensitive company matters and meet critical deadlines.

Must have extensive knowledge of all seat models.

Must understand the WBS map and processes from marketing hand off to delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field of study is required.

5 to 7 years of professional experience in the areas of manufacturing or quality engineering.

Minimum of three years in a decision making position. “Decision making” is defined as the authority to define, execute or control project/processes and to be responsible of the outcome.
