Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. (Currently in Jacksonville due to pandemic crisis)
Seeking full time, experienced, non-smoking, kind hearted, intelligent, very honest healthcare professional/caregiver to live in and care for elderly/geriatric female with heart disease, moderate dementia and balance and speech difficulties (stroke), reflux - Sweet and bright 94 year old female, Hungarian holocaust survivor. You will be provided a lovely private room in a beautiful home, but must sleep in same room/twin beds while in Jacksonville FL or when patient not feeling well.
Responsibilities: Organizing and properly administering medications on a schedule, taking and recording blood pressure, taking vital signs, video monitoring during sleeping hours, maintaining small home, cooking/providing healthy nutritious meals and fluids throughout the day, maintaining a beneficial schedule, stimulating social interaction with patient, massaging, bathing, grooming, maintaining good dental care habits, arranging doctor and therapist appointments, attending and taking notes at all medical appointments, communicating medical and other issues to family members regularly. Patient has small well behaved dog that must be fed daily by caregiver.
WRITTEN RESUME AND REFERENCES REQUIRED. Healthcare (LPN, CNA) experience & coursework a plus.
PROOF OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING REQUIRED.
Patient has lovely grown daughter and sons that are also helpful with their mother when called upon or needed.
Salary: $500/wk, plus room and board, one (1) day off per week.
