We are looking for an experienced and compassionate female CNA or Caregiver who would like to provide part-time care and support for a fun and friendly woman who is quadriplegic. Someone who understands the importance of meeting the needs of clients while helping them maintain a high quality of life. We are looking for a committed individual who has impeccable communication skills and can problem solve on the spot. Our Caregivers have a reputation for being cheerful and receptive as they administer care, and we are seeking someone who would be a great fit with our team. The right person will be an experienced caregiver or someone who demonstrates an interest and ability in helping a person maintain a high quality of life. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term, reliable job with hands-on experience. You will be working with a team of caregivers who can provide training as-needed.
College and graduate students who are interested in healthcare professions and helping others are strongly encouraged to apply.
Typical duties include:
Assist with personal care, including dressing, transferring to wheelchair and bed, administering medication, personal hygiene, eating and transporting to doctors and social appointments.
Document and report any changes in health status to the client, clients family, and health care professionals.
Assess client needs and work collaboratively with the client and colleagues to identify solutions.
Light cooking and housekeeping.
You must:
Have no criminal record. A background check will be performed.
Be punctual and responsible, with a back-up plan in case of family illness or vehicle problems.
Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to get to and from work.
Would be a plus if you:
Have experience working with someone with disabilities and with chronic and acute conditions.
Have strong communication skills.
Are mature, honest, and reliable.
Are personable, flexible, and interested in helping others.
Are pro-active and eager to problem-solve.
Are healthy and physically able to assist the client.
Have current and valid first aid and CPR certification.
Have a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
