CPPI is seeking a capable, motivated and highly organized System Administrator to take over all aspects of the configuration and maintenance of our computer systems. The Systems Administrator will maintain, upgrade and provide support for the companys software, hardware, and networks. The Systems Administrator needs to be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and be available to respond to help desk requests efficiently and effectively. The individual should be able easily to communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledge, as well as work with individuals in all department to help solve their technical issues. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for maintaining our system infrastructure, including firewalls, testing computer equipment, providing backups, installing, updating software and hardware, installing and rebuilding existing servers as well as other processes.
Responsibilities:
Install and configure software and hardware
Manage network servers and technology tools
Set up accounts and workstations
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Help setup and deploy E-Learning portal for internal company use
Requirements and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
Ability to create scripts in JavaScript, Python, Perl or other language preferred
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication skills
Specific experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 2008R2 to 2016, and Microsoft Exchange Server
Experience with Cisco switching and routing
Experience with AV Endpoint Protection
Experience with HyperV including VLAN
Experience with iSCSI SANS; Dell Compellent knowledge is a plus
Quest/Dell KACE or End-Point management application experience is a plus
MCSA/MCSE, Cisco Certified, A+, Net+ is a plus
