job descriptionFleet Preventive Maintenance CoordinatorFleet Preventive Maintenance CoordinatorResponsibilities: Schedules and administers fleet preventive maintenance, annual inspections and assists in troubleshooting problems with vehicles and equipment contacting drivers and shops. Monitors and reports on fleet status (i.e., downtime, maintenance costs, availability) Communicates availability of vehicles for service with dispatchers, operations and safety department. Generating, tracking, closing and archive service work orders. Prepare service quotes for any additional work recommended and secure managements approval for the quoted repairs. Inform management of potential problems with vehicles and equipment. Maintain in Excel a report of all the preventive maintenance programs and provide this to management when requested. Maintains records of vehicle use, maintenance, and repairs. Run every morning the truck units engine and device faults. Search for the codes and address the issues with drivers and mechanics shop. Ensures a safe environment exists and all maintenance activities are in compliance with State, Federal and Company requirements. Maintain Independent Contractors Monthly Maintenance Reports and execute monthly vehicle spot Inspections. Execute surprise inspections is a safely manner when equipment comes to the yard. Run every day the Unidentified driver report and addressed with drivers and Safety Director. Maintains records of the Driver Vehicle Inspections Reports (DVIR) and ensure that any issues and repairs are done accordingly. Help and Support the Safety Department on recruiting, retention and initiatives.
