We Are Hiring As a Medical Clerk - Authorizations with Ascension Medical Group, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of general clerical duties to support the Onocology Office - Mayo Clinic DePaul - Jacksonville,FLSchedule: Full Time Day - 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Responsibilities:
Obtain insurance auithorization in a timely manner for Outpatient services
Composes, types and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required. Routes written communications as appropriate.
Communicates with others in person, telephone, and/or email. May receive and screen visitors and handles general inquiries.
Assists with preparing for and facilitating meetings, conferences, programs and/or special events.
Establishes and maintains filing systems.
May enter information from a variety of sources into computer database(s) and verify data entered into computer by checking printouts/reports for errors and correcting as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications:
Authorization for Medical Services - Highly Preferred
Patient Scheduling for Outpatient Services
Oncology terminolgy experience
