Caregiver / Companion Position – St. Johns, FL

Phoenix Rising Solutions Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable Caregiver/Companion to provide non-medical support services for an individual in the St. Johns area. The ideal candidate is patient, consistent, trustworthy, and committed to promoting dignity, safety, and independence for the client. Experience working with individuals with Autism is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Providing companionship and positive interaction
Assisting with daily living routines and personal care support (non-medical)
Light housekeeping and homemaker tasks (laundry, wiping surfaces, dishes, tidying common areas)
Meal preparation and offering snacks and beverages as needed
Supporting community outings, activities, and engagement
Assisting with organization and safety within the home environment
Observing and reporting any changes in behavior or daily functioning
Providing supportive redirection and encouragement as needed
Requirements:
Must be reliable, patient, and responsible
Prior caregiving, companion care, or direct support experience preferred
Level II Background Screen Eligibility (or willing to obtain)
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Valid Florida driver’s license preferred, but not mandatory
Must be able to maintain client privacy, dignity, and professional boundaries
Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) strongly preferred
Work Schedule & Pay
Schedule and hours discussed during interview (starting 11/17)
