Position Details:

Role: Project Manager

Duration: 6 months

Location: Jacksonville (can work 100% remote)

Job Description:

IT Project Managers are responsible for the overall direction, management, communication, coordination of status reports, and accountability of project-oriented work efforts and success of their projects across the IT organization. This position supports technical projects related to various host operating systems, applications and software. The focus will be on end of life / lifecycle management of specific inventories of IT infrastructure. The IT Project Manager will work with cross functional teams to document and track identified hardware and software within the environment and mange till retirement or remediation. IT Project Managers projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. The PM trains others, creates or assists in creating compliance documents based on approved standards and procedures to meet the program requirements. The PM track key milestones and adjust project plans, budget requests and/or resources to meet the needs of the compliance program.

Requirements

• Manage projects with internal and external dependencies, moderate scope, risk of moderate severity & impact, integration within functional capabilities, moderate cost and typically longer duration within more than one team of resources.

• Responsible for developing and reviewing detailed multiple project plans and multiple audit artifacts and date sensitive material.

• Participates in change initiatives including tasks and initiatives outside of specific job duties such as audit readiness and preparation.

• Communicate project status to project team, stakeholders' leadership and Program Managers associated with other projects.

• Advise leadership, project team, customers, and staff on tactical solutions to dealing with barriers within a project.

• Escalate issues, negative impacts and delays and work the process to desired outcome.

• Accountable for active facilitation of project issue resolution, change, risk and dependency management.

• Accountable for project delivery including meeting time and quality standards and customer expectations.

• Leads project meetings.

• Creates and maintains relationships with stakeholders and team members in order to achieve mutual goals.

• Implement process improvements including writing process documents.

• Mentor IT Project Managers and SMEs / Managers on compliance process.

• Works, advises, manages and controls the compliance process with the SMEs and Mangers.

• Experienced at the in-the-weeds level with Audit process.

• Understanding of Infrastructure, network, and the technical interconnections of systems, devices and applications.

• Consult and train SMEs and Managers on asset lifecycle asset management and compliance standards.

• Understanding and identification of vendor lifecycle hardware and software management

• Additional duties may be assigned

• Strong PC skills specifically utilizing the MS Office Suite products (e.g., MS Word, etc.) as well as SharePoint

• Expert in MS Excel

• Knowledge and experience of IT functions

• Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a broad range of people and roles including vendors and IT-business personnel.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience in supporting technical projects related to various host operating systems, applications and software. The focus will be on end of life / lifecycle management of specific inventories of IT infrastructure

Required Work Experience

4+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education.

No supervisory / management experience required

2 or more years of Project Management work experience

Required Education

Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field
