Description
The Senior Application Developer is a member of an Agile scrum team who delivers quality software solutions incrementally. The position is responsible for refining user stories, flushing out technical details, creating/maintaining source code, ensuring code quality through code reviews, unblocking developers who are stuck, training/mentoring new developers and ensuring accountability within and across scrum teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software solutions that address market needs. These solutions could be an API/microservice, standalone tool, user-facing web application, data pipeline, etc.
Lead and build services and applications for future market use cases as the industry develops.
Lead and support the delivery of cross-functional, multi-platform product solutions
Facilitate knowledge sharing by owning and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Contribute to the development of our automated test and build infrastructure.
Identifying areas of improvement in the change management process.
Play a crucial role in product scoping and roadmap / architecture discussions.
Push company innovation efforts and stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
Participate in discussion with application development and architectural groups to ensure that solutions are technically sound, performance efficient, scalable, and supportable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates the ability to deliver working, testable code in each Sprint
Demonstrates the ability to identify and resolve defects
