At V's Barbershop in St. Augustine we are about real barbers, real conversations, and real community. Our shop combines craftsmanship, consistency, and culture — creating a space where both clients and barbers feel at home. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Barber who’s ready to grow their craft and clientele in a professional, authentic environment.
Position Overview
We value your time and skill. That’s why we start new barbers on a weighted pay structure for the first 90 days with added product commission for retail sales — meaning you’ll earn hourly or commission (whichever is higher) as you settle in and build your chair.
After 90 days, you’ll transition to straight commission.
Stick with us for the long haul — after one year, you’ll earn 4 days paid time off (PTO) and become eligible for our IRA plan.
Responsibilities
Provide professional haircuts, fades, beard trims, waxing, camo color, and grooming services
Deliver excellent customer experiences with every client
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation
Handle appointments and walk-ins efficiently
Promote services and grooming products to clients
Contribute positively to shop culture and teamwork
collect, wash, dry and fold towels
Qualifications
Valid Barber License (state certified)
Strong cutting and grooming skills across all hair types
Professional attitude, reliability, and punctuality
Excellent communication and client service skills
Team-oriented mindset with ambition to grow
Compensation & Benefits
First 90 Days: Hourly or commission (whichever is higher)
After 90 Days: Straight commission + product commission
