Salmon Companies, one of the largest contractors with the USPS, has an opening for an entry-level mechanic in our Jacksonville shop. This position will perform maintenance functions such as oil changes, brake repairs, battery replacements, tire changes, preventative maintenance, and the like under direct supervision of the Shop Foreman or Lead Mechanic.
Requirements for the position include:
Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Minimum 6 months diesel maintenance experience
Must have own tools
Basic knowledge of servicing heavy duty trucks
Basic computer skills such as data entry
