The Pelican Cottages in Key Largo is looking for a Front Desk Clerk to serve as the face of our business with our guests. We're looking for a friendly individual who genuinely enjoys being around people and who can manage multiple tasks at once. The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience and will understand the importance of responding quickly to guests' needs and complaints. You'll be corresponding with guests through email, over the phone and in person. If you've worked in the hospitality industry before, we definitely want to talk to you. However, we're willing to train the right applicant.
Responsibilities include:
1. Answer the phone at the front desk to respond to current and prospective guests' needs
2. Book reservations for individuals, families and groups as required
3. Greet walk-in guests and guests with reservations when they arrive at the front desk
4. Handle guest complaints
5. Communicating with housekeeping staff regarding room availability.
6. Refer guests to local amenities and venues
Must speak fluent English, speak and write professionally. Must be able to work weekends.
