Job Description

The Desktop Support / Network Admin is a mid-level analyst and systems optimization position that delivers smart, efficient solutions to our small & medium business clients.

Daily duties include field visits and installations, remote monitoring, support, patching, updating workstations, servers, and networking equipment, client training, email management, file sharing and permissions management, process improvement and documentation, maintenance and troubleshooting IP Camera systems, VOIP Phone systems, POS Systems and Reservation systems.

This is both an entrepreneurial and technical role that requires excellent communication skills, dedication to teamwork, consistent job completion on time and budget, and constant personal improvement to maintain aptitude on the latest technologies.

Position reports to the Operations Manager

Job Requirements

• Min. 3 years experience managing office networks and providing desktop support in a professional environment

• You must be a master at Windows 7/8/10 with Strong Knowledge of OS X.

• Experience managing Windows Server 2008/2012 Group Policy and file/folder permissions

• Experience managing email servers and applications.

• Experience with DB management (SQL and MYSQL)

• Proficiency with secure remote access protocols, IPSEC, SSL, VPN and VLAN management, monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Understanding and interest in virtualizations and cloud-based business systems

• Understanding of mid-size Wireless Network management, mesh and self-healing platforms, and emerging wireless technology for mobile devices.

• Expertise managing Office 365 and/or Google Apps for Business

• Provide accurate documentation: service call activity, account configuration, etc.

• MUST possess two of the following certifications (or equivalents):

o MS Server Cert (ie MCSE)

o Network Engineer Cert (ie Cisco, Microsoft)

o Comp TIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Cert)

o Apple Certified Mac Tech

Preference given to Candidates with:

• Certifications (especially Cisco, Windows, and MAC)

• Proficiency in HIPAA / HITECH and PCI Compliance

• Se Habla Espanol

• Interest and Experience in App Development

• Proficiency in a programming language or web dev platform

This Position requires a professional appearance and demeanor and the ability to speak and write clearly.

Must be dependable, able to climb a ladder and lift heavy equipment (40lbs).

Two Confirmable Professional References Required.
