Driller Qualifications/Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Pre-job site survey/inspection to assure all utilities have been located and accounted for
Plan and assign scope of work to laborers.
Safely and correctly direct multi-directional traffic with appropriate signage
Clean vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment
Perform routine labor (potholing, equipment set-up, conduit/duct/cable placement, set pedestals) as required.
Direct others to/or mix bore bentonite for the machine.
Communicate effectively with co-workers, subcontractors and clients
Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
Job Experience Preferred/ Required
Required:
Willing to travel out of state
Current CDL preferred or willingness to receive valid CDL within 90 days of employment
Operate a directional bore machine, backhoe, or trencher and willing to cross-train as required
Must have a valid Drivers license.
Must pass a background check and pass a motor vehicle records check.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical in order to obtain a DOT medical card.
Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call out work.
Preferred:
Knowledge of utility depths and placements
Must understand utility locate law and compliance procedures.
Knowledge of various cables and drill heads
Read communications prints for placing conduit or cables underground
Ability to take direction and work well with other
Ability to lift materials that weigh as much as 100 pounds
