SUMMARY:The Scrum Master will operate right at the intersection of Business Strategy, Technology and User Experience. They will help lead the strategic growth and continuous development of the digital banking channel, and will be singularly focused on delivering a best in class, frictionless online experience that drives increased channel revenue. Our Scrum Master will provide effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership and coaching skills to the agile development process and delivery of our digital products, as well as enforcing the agile tenants to support the technical delivery team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

  • Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintains composure and professionalism in a developing environment.
  • Must be flexible and manage multiple changing priorities/tasks.
  • Transform high level product management visions into comprehensive, executable project plans.
  • Provide project management leadership to internal and external teams of various disciplines (e.g., software, hardware, cloud, data, security, privacy, quality, regulatory, legal, sales, product, etc.).
  • Manage scope/resource/schedule/quality decisions and associated trade-offs.
  • Manage product features, requirement analysis, technology selection, architecture activities.
  • Plan, prioritize, & drive implementation tasks for features, defects, projects and releases.
  • Drive design control activities and deliverables as needed.
  • Proactively identify risks, and propose solutions with clear actions and owners.
  • Act as a problem solver and drive efficient decision making.
  • Lead well-organized, efficient meetings using effective meeting protocols.
  • Consistently develop and use metrics to ensure the quality of all program deliverables.
  • Manage partner relationships and deliverables to ensure successful development and collaboration.
  • Drive demo development, participate in partner demos, and drive preparation activities.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate progress, risks, and mitigations to stakeholders.
  • Convey to project team a strong sense of urgency and a bias for action. Keep all teams focused with clear/crisp priorities. Exhibit sustained energy in achieving results and high standards of performance.
  • Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Create documentation and reports for Audit Purposes.
  • Plan and run test plans.
  • Identify, analyze, track and manage risks and issues.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that occur.
  • Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
  • Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
  • Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
  • Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
  • Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role.
  • Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
  • Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Defines, documents, plans and manages the implementation of systems as leader of cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Works with business users to identify issues and manage expectations.
  • Manages issues and follows appropriate escalation procedures to ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or exceeding documented targets.
  • Ensures project participants maintain focus, motivation and execution.
  • Manages internal project resources and external vendors.
  • Delivers projects according to agreed specifications and deadlines.
  • Maintain active and effective relationships with business users and technology resources.
  • Strong background in project management concepts and methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies.
  • Ability to operate at both the strategic and functional level to manage project expectations,
  • perceptions, deliverables and resources.
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior management levels of business and technology personnel, including management and end users, providing guidance, support and detailed documentation.
  • Maintains organization's efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing technologies
  • Oversees successful completion and implementation of assigned initiatives and projects
  • Solid understanding of project and program management principles
  • Strong knowledge of data, data objects, data structure, and industry standards
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products –strong analytics skills
  • Ability to adapt to new technical innovations and business processes


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree And
  • 4-6 Years of product or project development experience Or
  • Minimum 3 Years of project development experience on an Agile Team Or
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Or
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Scrum Manager Or
  • Equivalent experience preferred
