What You Will Do

  • Understand the business needs of the customer and provide quality customer support by using appropriate communication, anticipating customer needs and/or issues, and understanding the broad impact of change on all customer processes.
  • Establish, refine and manage internal processes and metrics to support project completion including successful software development, model development and technically related business projects
  • Provide leadership to a development team in the support of the corporate vision, department objectives and individual goals
  • Provide direction and work to remove barriers and silos to accomplishing the success and implementation of projects across cross-functional teams
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate multiple Information Technology projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames
  • Ensure project goals and requirements are met on schedule, within budget and are successfully completed
  • Oversee all phases of project execution including initiation, planning/development, production/execution, monitors/controls, closing/post release activities for larger projects
  • Track projects and issues closely, foster collaboration from both the business and technology groups and lead issue resolution meetings during projects
  • Accountable for final approval on releases for all projects within their assigned accounts, ensuring that nothing is missed and reducing reliability tickets
Skills and Experience You Will Need
  • 15+ years of experience in the software development field
  • 7+ years of experience directly leading software projects
  • Expertise in .NET and the Microsoft stack
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Consulting experience
  • Expertise in software development best practices
  • Experience managing a team of 20+ developers in an onshore/offshore model
  • Technical background(Microsoft preferred)
  • Systems Integration/Systems Architecture experience
  • Product Implementation experience
  • Consulting/services background
  • Experience working with large clients(Fortune 500)
  • Client facing experience and comfortable talking to C-level executives
  • Waterfall and Agile experience
  • Ability to guide individuals toward goal achievement using motivation and staff development skills; ability to demonstrate innovation and problem solving skills when making decisions
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
Desired:
  • Financial Services/Banking experience
  • High volume transaction experience
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
