Apex Systems is looking for a Resource Coordinator for one of our largest clients in Miami. This is a FULLY REMOTE, contract to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will come from a Project Coordinator or Business Analysis background and understand the jargon in the PMO space. The Resource Coordinator works with PMO to allocate resources to projects. The Resource Coordinator will be responsible for executing the administrative processes in support of these projects. The Resource Coordinator will monitor the requests for these resources along with the availability of each of the resource roles in the Professional Services practice. This role presents an opportunity to learn and grow an understanding of Professional Services operations, project delivery and project management. This role has key responsibilities that support the overall success of the project and portfolio management.

  • Manage project resource assignments following the established resource management process. Includes collaborating with project managers and PMO leaders to understand resource requirements, matching resource skills to project needs, resolving conflicts with resource schedules
  • Manage resource utilization to meet regional and global utilization goals
  • Review and assign project resource requests
  • Support time submission and approval policies
  • Assist in reporting for the Professional Services PMO and other interested organizations
  • Serve as initial point of contact for resource assignment issues
  • Participate in PMO activities supporting the forecasting of utilization and other operational metrics
  • Assist with the setup of the project records and related items in multiple PSA tools

Experience Required
  • Demonstrated execution of detail-oriented processes and self-organizational skills
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education/experience
  • Experienced with Office 365 products
  • An ability to study and interpret data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Some knowledge about project management methodologies a plus
