Job Summary

Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment.

This position will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive profitable growth for Avis Budget Group's existing store portfolio, and manage all aspects of new store expansion throughout the US for the Avis and Budget brands. The qualified candidate will collaborate with headquarters and Field Operations management to support and deliver achievement of Local Market goals, insure alignment of organizational resources across functions, and provide effective communication with headquarters support staff, Field Operations management and senior Leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies that drive profitable growth of existing Local Market stores.
• Collaborate with Field Operations to achieve Local Market business goals and objectives for annual plans.
• Lead and manage the selection and opening of new store locations for both brands, including assessing growth capabilities of potential stores.
• Supervise, train, develop, motivate and evaluate the performance of field-based store expansion staff.
• Implement HR policies in the area of discipline, discharge, motivation and performance in a consistent and fair manner.
• Identify and develop new business and retail opportunities for existing stores.
• Supports profitable growth and development of over 1400 Local Market stores generating over $750MM of revenue per year.
• Oversees development of all new store expansion throughout the US.
• High level of decision making scope and latitude in role.
• Develops and executes strategy.
• Collaborates to deliver results.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has field-based direct reports all at the manager level.
• This position has functional reporting relationships with field-based Area development.
• Responsibility Scope/Impact (only applies to job families and field positions)

Qualifications (may vary by level)

Required Experience

• Bachelors Degree required.
• At least 3 years experience directing/managing multi-site fast-moving retail operations, rental operations and/or franchise operations.
• Experience in real estate and new store development in a retail environment, including contract knowledge.
• Experience in a retail operations environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to delivering results.
• Strong negotiation and facilitation skills. Proven ability to negotiate business contracts while building sustainable relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills. Includes the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to parties of varying backgrounds.
• Strong analytical ability to look at performance trends, make recommendations and develop solutions.
• Effective organizational skills to ensure smooth day to day operations, accurate records keeping and ensure appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner by the organization.
• Very strong results orientation and a demonstrated drive for achieving results and the ability to convey a sense of urgency when appropriate.

Travel Requirements: Approximately 20% domestic US travel is required.

A valid driver's license is required for all positions. Drug screening is a part of our hiring process.
