Main Objective: Assist the Corporate Accounting Manager in preparing corporate financial statements by completing companywide financial consolidations accurately and supporting the annual financial audit process.





Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform the quarterly consolidation of the general ledger in IBM Cognos TM1 for all global entities.

  • Prepare and post quarterly intercompany elimination entries and adjustments.

  • Compile financial information and prepare global consolidated financial statements for quarterly and annual reporting.

  • Assist with review of corporate financial statements package, performing detailed reviews of assigned areas of reporting.

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts, working with subsidiaries to make adjustments for any differences.

  • Automate existing process to improve efficiency of the consolidations process.

  • Review the monthly financial statements and flux reports submitted by subsidiaries for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with global policies and US GAAP.

  • Work with the respective teams to investigate and resolve material variances/fluctuations on the consolidated balance sheet and cash flow statements and provide related explanations to management.

  • Maintain records of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions for books kept at the consolidated level.

  • Provide technical accounting and system support to the regions.

  • Work closely with personnel in other departments and countries to ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Key liaison for external auditors working on the annual audits.

  • Prepare worldwide schedules for the auditors and for group reporting.

  • Act as gatekeeper of finance and accounting policies, and lead implementation of new US GAAP pronouncements to ensure global accounting compliance.

  • Support ad-hoc and other non-routine projects

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor s degree in accounting required (MBA a plus)

  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience required

  • CPA highly preferred




Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:


  • Knowledge of current US GAAP regulations with regard to financial reporting

  • Ability to think and work independently with high attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities

  • Detail-oriented

  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required

  • Working knowledge of PCs, databases, and general office equipment
