Job DescriptionVolt Workforce Solutions has an opening for a Maintenance Technician position with a large optical film manufacturing client based in Fort Lauderdale. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical assemblies for use in coating machines and supporting equipment, and assisting in the build-up of new equipment.Responsibilities:
Perform building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary
Implement preventative maintenance measures
Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
Complete inspections of offices and laboratory
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
Coordinates on-site installation/maintenance of electrical and mechanical automated system machines.
Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and align electrical and mechanical automated system machines.
Maintain the day-to-day operations and to assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property
Maintain a professional courteous manner with all employees, contractors and supervisors
Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled
Requirements:
Proficient in MS Office and Windows
Associate’s Degree in electronics or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
Good verbal & written communication skills
Ability to stand for prolonged periods on a concrete floor
Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to use power tools
Must work well with others in a loud production environment
Candidates selected must meet all pre-screening eligibility requirements.
