National Brokers Sales Director Responsible for planning, directing and controlling resources and efforts in support of assigned external National broker agencies/agents in selling the company’s Medicare health plans. Establish and maintain a business relationship and work strategically with assigned brokers in achieving annual sales and member growth targets by state, region and nationally. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: - Develop and implement programs to achieve sales goals, utilizing and enhancing the resources to implement those strategies. Sells the Anthem Medicare Value to optimize Agency sales. - Maintain a strong market awareness in assigned Anthem markets, supporting National Brokers/Agencies. - Formulates and defines business development strategies for assigned brokers by states/regions to increase market penetration and grow book of business. - Work directly with national broker agency principals on general relationship building, sales strategy development, marketing tactics and sales execution. - Monitor performance of the organization as a whole - as well as the performance of specific agents, territories or markets. - Work directly with specific downline agents on sales readiness, tactical strategies, support and execution. - Coordinate complex broker compensation and bonus programs across multiple states and regions. - Works with their team in providing tactical leadership when working with assigned brokers as well as to provide mentoring/training to deepen team’s competency in broker management skills. - Serves as sales executive and key point of contact and partners with regional and local sales team to provide a seamless Anthem Medicare experience. - Provides leadership to broker team and peers through the coaching, monitoring and directing of day to day activities. Work location - Any office in Anthem in an Anthem Blue or Medicare state: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IN, KY, ME, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WI. May consider other location depending on qualified candidate. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: - Requires a BA/BS, minimum 7 years of industry sales/broker management experience in the Health Care Industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Active and current Life and Health Insurance state license required.
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong Medicare experience and knowledge. - Call Center Sales experience or knowledge.
Applicable to Colorado Applicants Only Annual Salary Range: $99,520 - $124,400 Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the poste+B7d range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans.
