Job Description
Position: Bartender
Location: FL
Reports to: Restaurant General Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
Bartender will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance to the Autograph Collection standards under the franchise of Mainsail Lodging & Development.
Essential Functions
Curate guests bar experience by making recommendations
Continually train on new products and recipes
Take orders from guests as well as serving staff
Collect payment for food and beverages served
Follow TIPS practices to ensure safe and responsible serving of alcohol
Balance a cash bank and receipts
Maintain bar area
Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
Hotel Performance
Ensure successful performance assisting guests with an exceptional experience to ensure high performing scores on the GSS according to Marriott
Qualification Standards
Education & Experience
High School diploma or higher
Previous hospitality experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads
Physical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate clearly
Corrected vision to normal range
Ability to work long hours as needed
