Crescere Farms, the panhandles largest Organic Tomato Grower is looking for an Assistant Grower to help with our tomato operation. We grow off season, fall, winter, spring. We grow utilizing Dutch methods and therefore experience is not necessary but the proper candidate should have some gardening experience. We have 30,000 square feet of Heated Hoop houses which allows us to grow through the winter. In addition to the growing responsibilities, the proper candidate should have great communication skills as nobody is a better sales person with regard to produce than the actual growers. The position does require weekend work, our largest outlet for tomatoes is the Palafox Market in Pensacola which is every Saturday. I won't kid you, farm work is hard physical work at times but also extremely rewarding as the crop starts producing. If you are interested and feel you can meet the above criteria please let us know.
