Best Pals Pet Resorts prides itself on being the best boarding facility in Defuniak Springs FL! We treat all
our canine and feline guests like they were our own, and we have a wonderful staff that do the same.
We are currently looking to add 2 more Kennel Attendants to this wonderful team. We are looking to add onto our PM SHIFT which operates from the hours of 12 pm-6 pm and 1 pm-6 pm (Sometimes
shorter or longer depending on how busy we are.) We are looking for friendly faces, great attitudes and
someone who is self-motivated but willing to learn. Must be on time and pay attention to details as this
is very hard work and you will be cleaning (A LOT). Weekends and Holidays are a MUST for this position.
Job requirements:
Kennel Attendants:
Able to bend, stand, stoop and be on your feet for long periods of time
Be able to lift up to 40 Lbs
Detail Oriented
Be able to handle large and small dogs
Able to communicate and follow instructions
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work Mornings, and Evenings
Positive, Team Player Attitude
Reliable Transportation
Must be able to handle cats of all temperaments
Monitor safe dog play behaviors and recognize when to re-direct prior to escalation leading to problems when
outside with other dogs.
Perform behavioral assessments on new dogs
Has the ability to communicate with owners and make them feel comfortable with leaving their pet(s) in our
care as well as assist them with their belongings.
Follow our regular protocol for cleaning and sanitizing all cages, suites, crates and related areas; changes of f
food/water bowls.
Feed each animal as directed by the owner has requested and shown on run cards.
Prioritize tasks and keeps oneself busy and productive during work shifts.
Maintain laundry.
Recognize and report any unusual condition or abnormal behavior that may indicate illness or injury
Clean facility using chemicals and supplies; understands the importance of safety of use of
chemicals in our facility
Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
