We are seeking someone with full charge bookkeeping experience with solid knowledge of accounting practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for multiple company files, so attention to detail and the ability to multi-task is essential.
This position will accurately and effectively handle all of the day to day bookkeeping & accounting needs of many companies, including the preparation of financial statements and providing data for company owners, CPA and corporate reporting.
This role will report directly to the principals of the company and may work with an outside CPA firm to prepare financial statements and provide data for tax return preparation at year-end.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Payroll Processing
General Ledger Maintenance, and Financial Reporting
Verify and enter details of transactions as they occur in accounting system
Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements, using QuickBooks software
Prepare monthly/quarterly Sales Tax reports and filings
Prepare bank, credit card & loan reconciliations monthly
Researches accounts payable and accounts receivable issues and pursues past due accounts as needed

Day to day Job Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of QuickBooks, Pro, Premier and QuickBooks Online
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis in Excel
Ability to setup QuickBooks company file(s) with beginning balance entries
Accurate, insightful and strong attention to detail a must
Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize, and self-manage time
Flexibility and multi-tasking abilities are a must
Must be able to effectively meet deadlines
Internal and external excellent communication skills at all levels (i.e. customers, vendor, principals, etc.)
