Donoghue Construction Layout is a full-service surveying and mapping firm based in Central Florida. Our 8-hour office day begins at 8:00 am and offers flexible break hours to accommodate individual employee's needs. Our typical work week is 40 hours, but occasional overtime will be required. We are excited to train newcomers and introduce them into the little-known world of surveying. All that is required is the ability to focus on a singular task for a long period of time while employing healthy break strategies, problem-solving skills, a computer background, and strong communication skills (see detailed list of requirements below). AutoCAD and Microsoft Office experience is always a plus.
We are currently accepting resumes for a full-time AutoCAD Technician to work in our in-house CAD department. The CAD department is responsible for processing and verifying project field survey data on a daily basis and producing top quality survey products including as-builts (2D maps of construction improvements such as underground piping, parking lots, and ponds), boundary/ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, elevation certificates, and more. This type of work includes data processing, drafting, math computations, property research, completion of local municipality requirements, and a diligent QA/QC process to ensure all data accurately represents field conditions.
