Description: Seeking a Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer for an Orlando FL position. The GNC Engineer will support the Systems Performance IPT in developing a weapon kinematics prediction engine using a missile 6DOF Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS).Efforts include algorithm design, simulation development and systems performance assessments. Knowledge of guidance and navigation is required. Experience with C programming is of significant value. The GNC Engineer will be responsible for working with the contractor in generating reference data in support of developing and testing the kinematic prediction engine. The GNC Engineer will also assist with all functional testing, analysis and documentation of product performance.MFCE&T GNCBasic Qualifications:Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform some combination of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) assignments:Perform Missile 6DOF simulation design and analysis and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) design and simulation analysis.Develop and analyze guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms.Design target tracking systems which generally include target state estimation and target/detection association.Demonstrate experience with optimal state estimation filters such as KALMAN and Extended KALMAN filter (EKF).Perform design and analyses of terrestrial navigation and navigation state error estimation.Contribute to the definition of an operational flight program (OFP) with integrated high fidelity 6DOF simulations.Support preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses.Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformation.Demonstrate mastery of MATLAB and C/C programming.Currently holds a Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.Desired Skills:Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) simulation experience is desired.Flight software integration and verification experience is also a plus.Experience with Embedded Software and RF/EO knowledge is also a plus.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
