DescriptionAccountemps seeks a Payroll Administrator to help process payroll with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the desire to fill a role in the Amusement/Recreation Ser/Entertainment field. The Payroll Administrator position is a long-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity based out of Orlando, Florida.Responsibilities

Offer proper review and verification of source documents

Establish payroll liabilities after calculating all employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments

Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation

Exercise of proper data management by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data

Answer questions and requests related to payroll information

Certify compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines

Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures

Provide help with all internal and external audits of payroll

Perform any other duties that arise in the course of normal business operations

Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers

Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information

Ensure employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and confidential information

Prepare for department heads relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports

Manage employee deductions and other liabilities

Requirements

Capable of managing high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.

Outstanding data entry skills

Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

2+ years of strong payroll experience

Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen

Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred

Prior experience working with accounting software

Knowledge of internal controls

Well-founded grasp of Human Resources (HR) Administration

Proven knowledge of HRIS

bi-Monthly Payroll experience preferred

HR (Human Resources) experience

Knowledge of Account Discrepancies

Solid understanding of benefits payroll

Strong familiarity with Automated Payroll

Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
