“We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Production Technician II. This position is entry level for an experience Operator. The successful candidate is expected to complete the qualification process for Production Technician I and once fully qualified will be responsible for operating and maintaining the electrical, mechanical equipment and instrumentation at a combined cycle power plant in Orlando Florida and a Simple Cycle Plant in Cocoa Florida. Other duties will include water chemistry responsibilities, project and contractor management. This is position requires rotating shift work including working holidays (12 hour rotating shifts 0600 to 1800, and 1800 to 0600).
Hands on combustion turbine, steam turbine, or steam boiler operations experience or equivalent military experience is required.
Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude - both abilities are preferred. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or mechanical equipment is required.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
· Experience as a control room /Control Board operator is a plus.
Experience with a instruments and controls maintenance is a plus.· Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (especially Maximo) is desirable.”Job OverviewEmployees in this position perform power plant operations as well as maintenance on station equipment.
