Assistant Project Manager ? Job DescriptionConstruemax offers 24/7 Emergency Response and Reconstruction Services to the Central Florida, Tampa and Panhandle areas. Our Services include water extraction, fire & smoke damage mitigation, contents, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup and residential and commercial structural repairs. Job Summary:The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for inspecting and performing restoration projects after water, fire, mold, biohazard, weather-related events, etc. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for performing restoration projects based on the approved scope of work. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for explaining the scope of work to home/business owners, insurance adjusters and third-party administrators. The Assistant Project Manager is also responsible for collecting payment for projects, hiring subcontractors to perform the work while running and closing projects successfully and within budget.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Inspect residential and commercial projects and manage up to 25-40 reconstruction projects at various phases of construction from start to finish.

Develop draw schedules and stay on task until the completion of project and payment.

Manage project while maintaining constant line of communication with all parties involved.

Understanding of the insurance claims process and building codes.

Communicate the progress of each project to staff members, adjusters and homeowners.

Expand insurance adjuster, Property Management and subcontractor database.

Participate in Construemax?s on-call program.

Prepare permit documentation/NOC for submission by permitting expeditor. Coordinate the closure of permitting with the municipality at the end of the project as needed.

Approve payment of invoices associated with your jobs.

Collect and report to accounting on all payments collected from the insurance company/owner/mortgage company. Obtain signatures on checks and on all documentation as needed.

Update team on the progress of jobs via detailed PSA log notes.

Update control points in Xactanalysis, Diamond, TradesPlus, CAN, etc.

Attend scheduled company meetings and stay current with industry and building regulations.

Promote job site safety throughout the job execution process.

Flexible schedule and ability to travel per CAT with short notice.

Follow-up and correct any warranty items.

Communicate job issues with immediate supervisor in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills & QualificationsPhysical and psychological ability to perform the job duties of an Assistant Project Manager including managing restoration projects from start to finish.

Ability to hire and direct subcontractors to complete the work

Understanding of building codes and Florida regulations

Ability to learn new technology, communicate with customers and clients while maintaining employees updated both verbally and via system.

Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.

Clear and concise written and verbal skills.

Computer literate and ability to operate mobile and laptop devices

Attention to detail, ability to show leadership, have accountability, communicate timely, solve problems, self-motivate, create and maintain schedules, multitask, and organized per Construemax?s standards.

Maintain background, drug test and maintain acceptable driving records.

Educate the customer on the processes of reconstruction, job schedule and completion, and establish realistic expectations for the restoration process.

Ensure all communication between customer and subcontractors is handled effectively using professional techniques and adequate supervision so that all work provided by employees, subcontractors, and vendors meet or exceed Company standards.

Work closely with customers, team and adjusters on all mitigation and reconstruction projects.

Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and quality controls.

Customer inquiries/complaints are monitored, quickly acted upon, properly recorded and communicated.

Control job costs within Company profit margin standards.

Conduct job site visitations regularly as work progresses to verify satisfactory progress and completion.

Ensure all contracts, customer selection forms, customer satisfaction form and other required documentation is signed by appropriate parties

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to climb, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must be capable to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to operate a variety of automated office machines, telephone, and will have extended viewing of computer monitor. The employee may occasionally be required to wear an air purifying respirator and therefore must be able to pass quantitative and qualitative fit testing.
