The SQL BI Developer is an integral position of the IT Team who oversees the organization’s data warehouse, exchange of data among multiple systems, reporting, and data analytics. The SQL BI Developer is also responsible for routine maintenance of databases, as well as support of business & ERP software solutions. This position interacts with multiple departments, vendors, and other key stakeholders in order to meet overall reporting objectives of the organization.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop/Maintain/Support new and existing data flows from multiple source systems. Understands the data architecture of source systems such as POS, Dynamics AX, HotSchedules, CrunchTime and Ulti Pro.
  • Design and develop database structures, SQL views, SQL Stored Procedures, and reports
  • Maintain Tabular models SSAS on-premises and Azure
  • Create new measures for the SSAS models
  • Leverage data mining, analytics, and business intelligence to provide actionable recommendations and solve business/operational problems.
  • Work closely with business users to interpret the data needs of the business and translate those to logical and physical data models and reports
  • Support and maintain current reporting platform and develop reports and dashboards in Power BI
  • Oversees and ensures data store and data mart refresh processes are executed on schedule and successfully. Proactively monitors batch processes to prevent unexpected down times, addresses batch issues as they arise, collaborates with internal and external team to troubleshoot system errors as needed.
  • Maintain all SQL Server databases
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of business requirements & business concepts
  • Routine support and training of business software including, but not limited to, Dynamics AX and Power BI

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION
  • Four year college degree in an information technology field or equivalent working experience
  • Five (5) plus years of hands-on experience working with SQL Server including SSIS, Stored Procedures
  • Five (5) plus years of hands-on experience with SQL queries
  • Two (2) plus years of experience with cloud services such as Azure
  • Two (2) plus years of hands-on experience with Power BI
  • Two (2) plus years of hands-on experience with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
  • Hands-on experience with scripting, including PowerShell and other batching
  • ETL experience with multiple data sources and transport methods.
  • JAMS experience is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with multi-location environment
  • Strong customer service and analytical skills
  • High energy level required to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
