Job Description:
We are looking for a SSRS/Power BI Developer to support the development of reports related to our new reporting application. Need a quality developer for SQL Server 2017/2019 Reporting Services (SSRS Candidate needs to be familiar with SSRS paginated report development, advanced SSRS techniques (drill through, parameters and cascading parameters), and reporting BI tools and concepts. Knowledge of T-SQL and ability to write advanced SQL statements to retrieve data from tables and stored procedures. Must understand deployment process for SSRS/BI tools, security requirements, and folder structures. RESPONSIBILITES: Report Developer responsibilities include communicating with the data architect, ETL developer, business owners to develop, test, and implement reports for district and school based end users. Our ideal candidate has experience with various reporting methods, including SSRS and Power BI.
- Develop reports based on defined requirements.
- Write advanced SQL statements and stored procedures to retrieve data from tables
- Familiar with SSIS and ETL process.
- Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new reporting methods and techniques.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with SSRS - 3+ years required with 1 year being 2016 or higher • Experience TSQL- 3+ years required with 1 year being 2016 or higher • Experience with SSIS 1+ years • Familiarity with Team Foundation Server (TFS) • In depth knowledge of the development, testing, and deployment of SSRS • Develop code based on business owner/department requirements, create customized fields for reporting by a variety of end users • Data warehouse experience • Able to work in a project based environment with quick development turnaround
