Responsibilities include schedulingsurgical procedures, pre-admission testing, and posting of surgicalcharges. Serves as a liaison betweenpatient and medical support staff.PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONSRequiresprolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manualdexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, calculator and otheroffice equipment. Working under stressand use of telephone required. Requiresnormal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicateappropriate information and reports.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High
school graduate or equivalent.
Medical
office experience as cashier or receptionist
One
year of medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding experience preferred.
Experience
with word processing & computers preferred.MEDIC software experience a plus.
Must
be willing to float to other AHMG practices, within reason, when patient load,vacation schedules etc. make it necessary.
Demonstrates
