South Lake Optical is an independent optometry practice looking a full-time or part-time licensed/unlicensed optician with experience in the optical field.
We have excellent hours for our industry and respect work/life balance in our office.
We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 7:00pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday's.
Summary: Optician (Qualified candidates must have at least two years experience)
Responsibilities include optical sales, dispensing eyewear, proper adjustments, accurate lens verification (manual lensometry), contact lens knowledge, and exceptional patient care
Must have knowledge of insurances: V.S.P, V.C.P, EYEMED, DAVIS VISION & OPTUM HEALTH / SPECTERA.
Applicants must have a friendly and a positive attitude!
Assist with phones - answering, calling patients to confirm upcoming appointments and any additional front desk support needed
Interact with insurance companies and vision plans to verify the patients' coverage; efficiently solve claims/payment issues in a timely manner.
Accurately prepare invoices and payment documents, as well as handle payments for patients' fees, co-pays, and optical purchases.
