Job DescriptionExciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to be part of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy at 9310 South Park Center Loop in Orlando, Florida. As a Pharmacy Technician in the Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will provide telephone support to patients receiving life sustaining specialty drug therapy. You would be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and reverifying benefits. You will also help our patients with translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues. As a Pharmacy Technician you will also get to translate prescriptions and utilize your sig code knowledge. Excellent data entry skills will aid in your success. You will also be empowered to contact doctor's offices and insurance companies to ensure in the accuracy our patient's specialty medication orders. Our Pharmacy Technicians play a crucial role in helping others on the path to better health and your work will be directly impacting the lives of others. Superb communication skills are needed in order to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients and internal partners to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner and to ensure all financial and clinical expectations are being met prior to fulfillment.
